Genealogy at WCPL

Interested in researching your family's history? Want to learn about your house and when it was built? WCPL has you covered. Our staff is happy to help you on your search with our Genealogy resources!

We have a variety of databases to help you with your research, including Ancestry, Heritage Quest, MyHeritage, and ProQuest Newspaper Archive.

WCPL also has collected links to genealogical information from surrounding states, military records, and more.

Visit us in person to look at obituary records, marriage records, examine local newspapers on microfilm, and sift through yearbooks from surrounding schools. Click here to see a full list of what we have in-house.

Staff members are happy to help you with a Genealogy Request if you can't make the trip to Wabash, or if you're not sure where to start looking for information. Send in a request on our website, by phone, or by mail. Genealogy Requests are free, the library only charges when copies are requested or when there are postal costs to mail printouts. Click here to submit your request!
