Welcome to the Wabash Carnegie Public Library website. We hope you are currently using the library or soon will be. Since its beginning in 1903, the Wabash Carnegie Public Library has been serving the town of Wabash and surrounding communities. The library just completed a three-year strategic plan with a forward looking vision. We see the Wabash Carnegie Public Library as a place of welcome and a gateway to active learning that is community focused, connected, and respected – that is an internally adaptable library of excellence for our size.
A public library today is more than books and databases. It is a fundamental pillar of our community. We strive for the library to be Wabash’s gateway to information and ideas. The library is a welcoming space for life-long exploration. As we connect, engage, and inspire, Wabash shines brighter.
We hope you visit the library frequently. If we can be of any assistance or you have a question or concern, please feel free to call us at (260) 563-2972 or email us at general@wabash.lib.in.us. I hope you find the library and staff as wonderful of a place as I do. As Executive Director, I find this a special institution to be a part of, with an exciting and challenging future ahead.
You can contact me at (260) 563-2972 or e-mail me at warew@wabash.lib.in.us. If you are in the library (located at 188 W. Hill Street), please stop by my office and say hello.
See you at the library,
Ware W. Wimberly III, Director
